Living for God doesn’t mean that we will be sheltered from difficult times. It’s part of being human, everyone experiences hardship. In the book of John, God lets us know that in Him we have perfect peace and confidence, and in the world we will have tribulation and trials, distress and frustration, but we should be of good cheer (take courage; be confident; certain) for Jesus overcame the world (He deprived it of power to harm us, and He conquered it for us). In obedience we surrender our will to the Lord because He has provided a way for us to overcome all trials and temptations that come against us. We must trust that He is working all things for our good. When you go through hard times of testing and suffering, remember to keep His Word close to you, even in your heart. Trust in every promise. Pray, worship, praise, stay connected to the saints of God, continue to be faithful to HIs House. Repent, confess, and lift up your head, stand strong on the rock of your salvation. For He cares for you and He knows what you’re going through. He loves you more that you will ever know and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

We come before Your presence in humble adoration, for You alone hear our cry. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We are saddened by the constant conflict they suffer. Jesus, we pray for your protection upon them, every child, man, woman, teen, soldier, and leader. It’s hard to understand why they live under constant threat from their enemies, yet we pray for Your mercy to keep them safe. Bring comfort to their hearts where there may only be fear. Let them feel Your love and concern in the midst of the chaos. Let Your love prevail where there is darkness and confusion. We are careful to not forget them in our prayers for they are the apple of Your eye. Thank You for extending Your grace to our lives also. Thank You for allowing us to dwell in safety. Your word says -“As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.” Psa. 125:2.

In faith we “pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” We pray this prayer in the name of Jesus. AMEN.

Rev. 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

Jesus is the beginning, middle, and the end. He knows and sees all. If you really understand who God is, He will take the fear out of your life. He can do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask of Him.

What do you want to believe? Before your problems, there was His power. It will shape our future. Our job is to believe that He is and that He will come through for us. Rom. 8:29 “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Those who are predestinated are called, made just, and last stage-glorified. We were predestined to be sons of God.

The woman from Canaan who had a daughter vexed by a devil wasn’t too proud to cry out to God, but He answered her not a word (Matt. 15:22-23). We must push past the crowd because the need is greater. He didn’t cast her away. Keep pressing, asking, believing, praying, praising. Matt. 15:24 “But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” She could’ve been offended at His response, but in her core belief she had a greater need.

Keep knocking. Matt. 15:25 “Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.”She worshipped Him! She took her request to the next level-WORSHIP! She cried unto Him and made up her mind to worship Him because He was still LORD. Matt. 15:28 “Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.”

This woman’s persistence teaches us how to keep believing in God’s Word in spite of the circumstances that surround us. Know that He is the answer to all of life’s problems. Know that He loves you and cares more than you could ever imagine, but, what do you want to believe?

It stands so straight and tall reminding me of the “straight and narrow way” in which I should go.

It has many branches all reaching out seemingly saying, “Follow me, I’ll show you the way to Christ,” or “Let me help you with your burden. The multitude of branches also show me a life filled with many talents and abilities gifted to us, all for God’s glory.

The roots portray the foundation of truth that runs deep in Apostolic soil, planted sure by the Water of Life, growing deeper throughout the ages of time.

The leaves are ever green, vibrant, fresh, not withered, dead or falling. Not even the storms of life nor snows will destroy them.  They remain the same no matter the season. When the snows come, the branches carry the weight of it with dignity.

It exists only among other pines with the same characteristics. It reminds me of the biblical question in 2Cor. 6:14 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

Yes, of all the trees I’ve chosen the pine tree because it teaches me so many good lessons that will strengthen me on my spiritual journey.
