MorningStar is blessed with a unique ministry that walks in integrity, servitude and the love of Christ. Bishop and Pastor stand for and speak the truth as vigilant watchmen in these last days. They are also greatly supported by their loving wives, powerful women of God. Bishop and Pastor truly encompass the following scripture:
”And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.“

Bishop Daniel W. Lizarraga
Bishop Daniel W. Lizarraga, the founder of MorningStar, with the Lord’s strength, built MorningStar on a sure foundation, both in its physical edifice and its spiritual standing. He received the call of the Lord at age 21, getting baptized on the 9th of February, 1975, and receiving the Holy Ghost in 1976. Bishop received the call to preach in September of 1978. He began pastoring in January, 1984, which brought about the birth of MorningStar—initial services starting in a home and a handful of people. Now, with a beautiful building filled by many growing families, praising the Lord and walking in salvation—look what the Lord has done! Bishop continues to teach and preach with Pentecostal fervor and deep revelations in the Word. He has an expert understanding of the Apostolic Doctrine and shares the revelation of Jesus Christ as the One True God. He blesses the congregation as a careful watchman with his prophetic insights. We are grateful for this man of God that walks in integrity and a distinguished level of anointing.
Pastor Jason Lizarraga
Pastor Jason, Bishop Lizarraga’s son, has a powerful testimony of staying on the straight and narrow path of Pentecost from his youth onward. In 1978, at age 6, he received the Holy Ghost and shortly after was baptized in Jesus’ name. He has honored the landmarks of old, while pressing forward to new methods and technologies of sharing the gospel. Starting his ministry with music, Pastor played the piano and directed the church choir. This was a stepping stone into preaching by age 25, and eventually Pastoring by age 28. He also has written some wonderful worship songs with his band, Stars&Sticks. Today, Pastor not only manages the weekly workflow of the church, he also brings forth compelling preaching and teaching to MorningStar’s pulpit. With a powerful mantle of anointing over his life, Pastor casts vision for the future, preaches with Pentecostal fire and provides MorningStar’s teams with the tools and wisdom to succeed. We are thankful that the legacy of the Apostolic way has continued in a mighty fashion through our awesome Pastor Jason.
